A Plan to WIN in 2010

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Happy New Years everyone! Well, I had a wonderful holiday break. However, now it is time to develop a winning plan for 2010. I must begin to brainstorm on paper what I would like to see happen this year. I encourage you to do so as well. The brainstorm will allow you to develop goals to accomplish for this year. It is important that we all establish long and short term goals. Short term goals are tasks that can be completed within three years. Long term goals are tasks or desires that we want to be achieved three years and beyond. So, take out a sheet of paper and divide the sheet into two columns with short term goals on one side and long term goals on the other. Begin to jot down what you want to accomplish within three years and those goals that may take longer than three years.  Also, begin to think about the small steps it may take to achieve those goals.  It is important that we think about our goals and write down ideas so that they can have a higher possibility of being achieved. Well, this is a start. I will be back son to talk about additional important steps to goal setting. Thank you for tunjing in. I’ll be back in another week to continue with this dialogue. Take care!

The Power behind the word ‘Christmas’

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

What does Christmas mean to you? To some, Christmas is a time where family members come together and sing songs and exchange gifts. They try to purchase a gift that they believe their loved ones and friends would enjoy. Christmas has always been a special time for my family as we do get together, have dinner, exchange gifts, play games, and watch sports on television. However, I believe the ultimate purchase of Christmas has and shall always be a time to give and reflect on the ultimate gift that was given- Jesus Christ. This was the greateat gift given to man as we now have access to life eternal through him. Some may agree. Others may disagree. All that I know is that if it wasn’t for that gift given to me,  I would not be here talking with you today. He died so that I may live. The same gift that was given to me is still available today. It’s a gift. It’s free. All you have to do is accept the gift- His life sacrificed for yours.

Have a wonderful Christmas holiday. I encourage everyone to be thankful for where you are and brainstorm where you would like to be. Set achievable goals for 2010. This is a great time to right them down and develop a plan on how you can achieve them. If you need help setting achievable goals and would like me to be your coach, send me an e-mail and we get started right away. Take care and Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving Holiday Follow-Up

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Hello everyone!

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday. I travelled to New Jersey with my husband to visit family. I had a blast. The only aspect I did not enjoy was the traffic on the interstate. I enjoyed the pies, turkey, stuffing, etc… Most importantly, I enjoyed spending time with family. I learned one valuable lesson during my interactions with my family.

You are your only major barrier to your future.

The journey may be long but be encouraged. You will see signs along the way to let you know that you are either on the right or wrong path. Stay alert! I encourage all of you to press forward and overcome all obstacles to achieving your goals. You are not in this race alone. I am walking with you as I seek to obtain my goals. Journey on my friends!
